Pit Snakes are a nightmare for any melee class; even wand-users struggle with them. High damage output in large numbers, and fast chase speed from the large ones means a quick death without a good defense. The lesser ones are nothing more but a nuisance, while the larger ones serve well for Levels 6 - 10.
