Combat

Behavior

• Does not move.
• When the player is close enough or the egg sac is destroyed, around 1-7 spiders of one type will spawn.
• The spider type spawned will correspond to the Crawling Depths Egg Sac’s colour.
• Standing close enough to an Egg Sac (1 tile away) will hatch it and every other Egg Sac in a 1-tile radius. For example, if there are 5 Egg Sacs directly next to each other, all will activate in a chain reaction if you stand too close to just one of them.

Tips and Strategies

Try to either break these from a distance and kill the spawned spiders, or rush past them. It is unwise to stand on top of one of these without strong DPS, as the spiders spawned can easily take a maxed character down to half HP.

When soloing or rushing this dungeon, it is safer to traverse around all Egg Sacs without activating them. This is faster than directly rushing past all the Egg Sacs if you are not experienced at rushing. Be wary of any pet with damaging abilities such as Electric, which will hatch the Egg Sacs.

On occasion, these will burst into multiple very fast, small black spiders that will move around quickly for a second or two before disappearing. These are purely aesthetical and cannot harm you.
