Does not attack.
The Spider Egg Sac remains motionless and does not attack until it is destroyed, or players get within 1-2 tiles. Upon which, it will self-terminate and spawn Green Den Spider Hatchlings.

Spider Egg Sacs serve as biological landmines throughout the Spider Den. They are harmless until you destroy them or get too close.
When they die, they spawn Green Den Spider Hatchlings which, while not being too dangerous in a small group: Can be lethal to most characters if enough of them gather into a swarm. As such, try to avoid breaking too many of these.
These are notorious for creating the means that will disconnect or severely lag players with lower end PCs who venture into the Spider Den. Never allow too many to appear or you could rubberband and disconnect, or worse: Die.
