Frimar (Rev. 9)

Last updated: Release 27.7.XMAS
Inactive Frimar Frimar

Frimar is one of the three bosses of the Ice Tomb, along with Polaris and Glacius. Frimar has the most defensive capabilities of the three bosses but can also inflict significant damage with armor breaking attacks.

This is a slightly more durable, reskinned version of Bes, a Tomb of the Ancients boss.

The Realm Eye says:
Aspirant to Bes, Frimar passed the time trapped in a glacier by practicing all of his idol’s moves.
The eons spent in the Ice Tomb allowed him to fully master the abilities of the old god he admired.

Behavior

Awakening Phase
Upon being awakened, Frimar slowly circles around the boss room. He does not fire any bullets. After a certain amount of damage, he fires rings of weakening bullets. He then constantly fires short-ranged radial bursts of silver shields that stun as well as multidirectional armor-breaking boomerangs and blue bolts. If more damage is dealt to him, he will fully awaken and move on to the next phase. He cannot be stasised until he is fully woken.

Battle Phase
Frimar stops firing the rings of weakening bullets and begins firing shotguns of armor-breaking boomerangs. He still fires his radial stun bullets and also fires aimed blue bolts that increase in number as he is damaged. In addition, he may occasionally fire out a long-ranged sequence of shockwaves that stun.

Occasionally Frimar will flash and start hugging one of the other tomb bosses, or one of the other tomb bosses will flash and start hugging Frimar.

At a certain amount of damage, Frimar starts spawning Shard Artifacts. When his health is low enough, he moves into his rage phase.

Rage Phase
In his rage phase, Frimar will turn red, become temporarily invulnerable, and quickly chase nearby players while rapidly firing massive shockwaves that inflict stun. In addition, he will fire multidirectional bursts of blue bolts and retain his shotgun of armor-breaking boomerangs. If there is nobody in his detection range then he will remain stationary.

Death
Once Frimar is killed, a soul will spawn at his location. Once all three bosses are dead, the soul will despawn, dropping the respective boss’ loot.

Tips and Strategies

When fighting the three tomb bosses, it is advised to attack Frimar first, as he is an easier enemy to kill compared to the other two. If you have a knight with a Shield of Ogmur, it can help greatly due to the high defense of Frimar.
