The Pirate Captain is an enemy that is found in the Pirate Cave. They never spawn alone, always accompanied by other pirates. They may accompany the boss of the dungeon Dreadstump the Pirate King and protect him.

Wanders around, firing cannonballs at any players nearby on a 1.5 second cooldown per shot. They will try to protect Dreadstump the Pirate King by surrounding him.
Pirate Admirals possess only one attack that can be easily dodged by circling the enemy, despite the fast speed of the projectile.
They always have other pirates with them. There will likely be several protecting Dreadstump, so clear them out first.
These are valuable enemies to kill for fresh characters because they can drop good low level gear.
