Tips and Strategies

These are truly dangerous enemies, capable of destroying even the most powerful characters in a split second if proper precautions aren’t taken. Because of this danger, these should be the first enemies for you to focus on, to prevent problems later in the fight.

One will spawn at the end of the bridge leading from the spawn points. Another will spawn in the last hallway before the courtyard, and a few others will spawn in the courtyard near the hallways. When fighting these, it is crucial to never get too close to them, due to the Armor Break shots that it fires. These shots make the minions it spawns all the more lethal, and have resulted in the deaths of numerous 8/8 characters.

If on a ranged class, stand back and fire. When the brute charges, back up, focusing on the minions that charge you before redirecting your fire back at the boss. If your ability can slow/paralyze the brute, be sure to use it. This strategy works for both maxed and unmaxed characters.

If on a maxed melee, you can circle the brute, staying as far from it as your sword’s range allows. When it charges, it will charge towards the spot you WERE, and will avoid you entirely. You can likely shrug off the minor hits inflicted by the minions as you continue to focus on the brute. If you’re unmaxed, it is usually best to let another player engage it, or, if absolutely necessary, to utilize the staregy used by ranged classes.
