Behavior

Davy Jones spawns in the center of the room, surrounded by unlit Ghost Lanterns. He is invulnerable and slowly follows players while firing small shotguns of projectiles that do significant damage and inflict bleeding.

Once all of the lanterns have been lit by attacking them, Davy Jones stops moving and becomes vulnerable. After a few seconds, the lanterns will release a burst of paralyzing projectiles and become unlit. Davy will become invulnerable again and will chase the closest player while firing shotguns, after which he returns to the center of the room the first phase repeats.

As the battle progresses, Davy’s shotguns will increase in projectile number, making them more lethal. When he has lost enough health, he will say “On your knees ye slimy sea slurp!”, “Be gone with ye!”, or “Avast, ye filthy mongrel!” when the ghost lanterns become unlit.

Tips and Strategies

Do not stand on the lanterns. They fire paralyzing bullets when they turn off, leaving you easy prey for Davy’s shotgun.
