ContentsStatsHP: 25,000 (+10.8% [2,700] to 111.6% [27,900] per player in Dungeon) Immune to Stasis CombatAttacks
BehaviorThe Abyss Idol is dark and dormant in the middle of the room until it is damaged, upon which it will activate. The entrance to the room will seal off with lava once the fight begins. Phase 1It will begin to fire spreads of 3 golden bullets at the nearest player. It will also constantly fire radial bursts of golden waves around it, as well as constantly fire large golden blasts along the diagonal directions that inflict heavy damage and Paralyzed. It will also constantly throw yellow bombs that turn large parts of the floor into temporary lava. Phase 2The Abyss Idol temporarily goes invulnerable and begins firing a three-armed spiral of golden bullets, along with 4-ways bursts of larger Paralyzing shots and radial bursts of golden waves. Instead of summoning lava at random, it will start summoning it rapidly in a circular motion around the room. Once the boss dies, all lava disappears from the room. Drops
Note: Unlike Archdemon Malphas, the Potion of Defense is a guaranteed drop from the Abyss Idol. Tips and StrategiesA good tip is to NOT stand diagonally from the Abyss Idol, as the big bullets he shoot diagonally paralyze you; if you get paralyzed while in lava, you may not have enough time to react and nexus. Also note that lava will be spawning as you are damaging the idol, so make sure you are in a safe place! Another tip - If you think you cannot kill the Abyss Idol, then kill Malphas, and then go back to the treasure room and try. Wand, staff, and bow classes can simply damage the idol from the hallway, without any risk of lava damage. HistoryThe Sword of Illumination was a limited-time drop which sometimes replaces the Demon Blade as a drop. (during June 2015 Month of the Mad God and August 2016 Month of the Mad God). And now only has the chance to drop during Month of the Mad God events. |
