Tips and Strategies

A good tip is to NOT stand diagonally from the Abyss Idol, as the big bullets he shoot diagonally paralyze you, if you get paralyzed while in lava you may not have enough time to react and nexus. Also note that lava will be spawning as you are damaging the idol, so make sure you are in a safe place!

During the fight, the hallway used to enter the room will fill with lava. Usually after you kill the Idol, the lava will dissipate so players can exit. Sometimes, however, the hallway will remain filled with lava – this is indicative of another treasure room being present within the dungeon.¹

Another tip - If you think you cannot kill the Abyss Idol, then kill Malphas, and then go back to the treasure room and try.
