The Glitch is found in small “glitched” setpieces scattered across the Realm upon its generation, spawning in the Mountains, High Plains, and Mid Sands specifically. Like the Beer God, it can initially only be seen as an enemy marker on the minimap. Once enough players gather around it, it will appear and attack.
The Glitch wanders in place, sporadically lobbing multicolored bombs that do 100 armor piercing damage.
The Glitch freezes in place and starts firing 4-way shot-machineguns of binary shots. Every burst, it will shift the orientation of the barrage by 45 degrees.
The Glitch starts to teleport to random nearby locations. Every time it teleports, it will fire a shotgun of returning Error Spikes at the nearest player.
The Glitch wanders around erratically, attempting to flee from players while leaving tiles of damaging Exposed Code in its wake. It will also attack with radial bursts of Error Stars, and periodically teleport to a nearby location. Note that the Exposed Code it generates will not despawn.
The Glitch stops firing and creating Exposed Code, wandering slowly in place. It is effectively helpless in this phase.
Upon death, the Glitch explodes into a ring of harmless projectiles (from other weapons/enemies), leaving behind a small square of safe tiles which contains its loot and a portal to The Machine.

Don’t get caught up in the Glitch’s binary shotgun attack. It deals rapid unblockable damage and can be fatal if the player doesn’t move out of it fast enough.
During its teleporting phase, be wary of where it’s teleporting. If the Glitch teleports on top of you and fires, the resulting shotgun incurs very high damage. Using the minimap can help with this.
During its last phase, the Glitch will attempt to run from players while trailing Exposed Code. Attempting to corner it is the best option - if it is left to run rampant for too long, it can transform the entire area into a hazardous sea of Exposed Code. If this goes on for long enough, it can become virtually impossible to chase the boss down and finish it. It is advised to confine the boss to a small area to limit the spread of Exposed Code, but if the situation gets unbearable, pushing it to an open area can work.
Keep in mind that Exposed Code is permanent, and will not vanish when the boss is slain.
The Glitch’s hit sound is the same as when a player attempts an invalid input (ie. using an ability without enough mana), and its death sound is the same sound effect that plays during the death screen.
Almost all of The Glitch’s lines are taken from Fracktail, a robotic dragon boss from the game Super Paper Mario.
The Glitch is Armored for some of its phases, but since DEF is rounded down, its resulting 1.5 DEF is rounded back down to 1, making the effect useless on it.
