The Prismimic is a special boss that appears in dungeons for specific events. Uniquely, it copies the forms and attacks of various other bosses.
The Prismimic will divide into an Attacker and Defender at the start of the fight. The two have different stats and a different array of bosses they can change into.
The Prismimic is one of the Crystal Entity’s more promising creations, constructed to cause havoc among surface dwellers. As a skilled illusionist who uses deceptive light reflection to trick victims, its purpose is to study various foes so that it may learn and mimic them. - Announce Description

designed the Prismimic for covert operations. By studying various creatures, they can almost perfectly mimic their likeness. With this capability, the Crystal Entity hoped to silently replace much of the realm’s population. |

The Prismimic is initially found as an invincible prism circling the boss it is currently “observing”. After the boss is slain, the prism moves into the center of the room, flashes for a bit, and transforms into the Prismimic, who will provide a taunt:
“Thank you kindly for the demonstration of that being’s powers, litle ones. Care for a test? Heeheekee!”
The Prismimic will then divide in two - a Prismimic Attacker and Prismimic Defender. As they split, they will each taunt one more time before starting the fight.
“Ah, but can you pierce this illusion?”
Both Prismimics undergo their first transformation. The Prismimic Attacker will be invulnerable until the Defender has taken sufficient damage, upon which it will revert to a prism and become dormant. Once both Prismimics have taken enough damage, it will dispel their transformation.
The Attacker can transform into the following bosses:
Fountain Spirit (bolt shotgun phase)
Limon the Sprite Goddess (Phase 1)
Gigacorn
The Defender can transform into the following bosses:
Golden Oryx Effigy (Bombs/Bullets Phase)
Septavius the Ghost God (Phase 3B)
Archdemon Malphas (Phase 3)
Taunt: “Come now, your replicas will be…FLAWLESS!”
The Prismimics transform a second time. Again, the Defender’s transformation must be dispelled in order to damage the attacker.
The Attacker can transform into the following bosses:
Murderous Megamoth
Jon Bilgewater the Pirate King (Phase 1)
Son of Arachna
The Defender can transform into the following bosses:
Gulpord the Slime God (Intact Phase)
The Puppet Master (Purple Bullets Phase)
Lord Ruthven (Default Phase)
Taunt: “Such brutish techniques! But effective, I must admit.”
The Prismimics transform one more time. Once more, the Defender must be brought to low HP before the attacker is vulnerable.
The Attacker can transform into the following bosses:
Oryx the Mad God (Chase Phase)
Permafrost Lord (Phase 2)
Tezcacoatl the Great Basilisk (Phase 1)
The Defender can transform into the following bosses:
Stheno the Snake Queen (Phase 3)
Esben the Unwilling
Biff the Buffed Bunny
Taunt: “Closer, little ones! We may absorb as one!”
The Prismimic Defender moves into the center of the room, while Prismimic Attacker starts flashing yellow and chasing players. The Defender will attack with 4-way bursts of slowing white spinners, while the Attacker will attack with spirals of crystal shards and white AoE bursts.
Shortly after this, the Attacker becomes vulnerable. Once the Attacker is slain, the Defender will taunt:
“What? NO! You’ve shattered my reflection! My power…is slipping…”
The Defender will then undergo one final transformation for its last stand:
Dreadstump the Pirate King
Should the player be able to vanquish this terrible foe, the Prismimic will be destroyed for good.

See tips for the individual bosses the Prismimics transform into for specific information on how to fight them.
The Prismimics’ actual attacks are rather tame, so the only real advice is to avoid sitting on them at all costs.
