Beholder (Rev. 4)

Image of a giant floating eye with tentacles.
Beauty is the in the eye of this beholder. It is a giant eye-like creature surrounded by flailing tentacles. Local legend hints at a possible relation to the Flying Brain. As the hobbits of the lowlands say, "Death is in the eye of the Beholder." One look into its eye and your own eyes will fail, yearning to pull out of its sockets and join the Great One.This has no relation to the pentaract eyes.

General Information
  • The Beholder, unlike the laughable version it used to be, is now a powerhouse of pain. It shoots slow white bolts that do heavy damage. It has more HP than it used to, and it can also stunt your vision. Take these out before the rest.
Combat Tips (8/18/2012)
  • The white bolts are slow compared to other gods' shots, but they do heavy damage. This damage is a whopping 120 damage, which is the 2nd highest god damage in the game, following Medusa. The Beholder fires in all directions. Dodge with small adjustments rather than big sweeps.
  • If struck by the purple, blind-inducing shots, don't panic. Your character and the white bolts are the most visible things on the screen. Dodge as you normally would.
  • The Beholder becomes much more dangerous when paired with other gods. Fast-moving, non-white bullets combined with the blindness can quickly kill you. Beholders are easy to aggro, so try to nick them and then drag them back into an area you've already cleared. If they're joined by too many other gods, consider warping to the nexus.
