As all robe classes start with 100 HP at level 1, equipping the Cheater Robe on a fresh character sets its HP to 0. This will not kill the character, and using another health-reducing item (such as the Recurring Terror Spell, Tome of Pain, or Scepter of Devastation) has no additional effect.
As shown below, taking any shot (even one that deals no damage) with 0 HP will cause the character to die.
This item originates from the accidental release of the Lair of Draconis in Release 11. Following the dungeon’s removal, the T14 armors dropped by the bosses were transformed into cheater armors. Nikaos’s Water Dragon Silk Robe became the Cheater Robe.
The cheater armors and Useless Katana were given out in the free Valiant Pack on April Fools’ 2013.
In Release X29.0.1, the cheater armors were made white bag drops. The robe dropped for the first time in a September 2018 Lair of Shaitan chest event.
