The Swarm Tree is found in a secret room within the Woodland Labyrinth, identifiable by its entrance not being visible from the room before it, and exactly one will always be found in each Woodland Labyrinth. When approached, it will initially be defended by a variety of Woodland enemies (usually including Mecha Squirrels, but not always) and will be dormant until taking damage.
When attacked, the Swarm Tree will begin launching evenly spaced, extremely damaging green bombs in groups of three around it, launching them at varying distances and orientations. It will also occasionally release a short-ranged pulse of green bullets.
Periodically, it will create a ring of harmless green stars around itself which, after a brief delay, will become pink and damaging before vanishing. The Swarm Tree can summon this ring at a close, medium, or far distance from itself.
Upon death, the Swarm Tree will spawn a large number of Micro Megamoth Sentinels.
Spawns upon death:

It’s recommended to clear out all the minions before engaging the Swarm Tree in battle, as they will get in the way of a fight that already demands attention.
When the Swarm Tree begins attacking, stay on your toes and keep moving at all times. The Swarm Tree’s attacks inflict enough damage to instantly kill the unwary, but every attack it has save for its short-ranged radial burst is telegraphed. Dodge the bombs, run out of the area when it summons its green stars, and attack the boss until it dies.
Inflicting Stun or Statis on the Swarm Tree does not reset its timed attacks. There is therefore a chance that pink stars instantly spawn as the effects wear off (due to the green stars/telegraphed attack being skipped), swiftly killing unsuspecting players. You can survive this rare but deadly event by remaining stationary on the edges of the different coloured tiles and only moving after the pink spinners spawn.
Before Exalt Version 1.3.0.0, the Swarm Tree did not fight back and had the following sprites:
