On Thin Ice is the fourth and currently final RIFTS season. It was available from December 12, 2019 to December 17, 2019. Players are limited to making 24 characters this season. The max level cap of pets is set to 70 (Max Rare). This season allowed players to obtain two UTs (Esben’s Shaman Attire and Esben’s Wedding Ring) before they were added as permanent drops from enemies in Original Mode.
The main gimmick of this season is to collect snowman body parts from dungeon bosses and use them to assemble an event boss, Jack Frost, which would drop dungeon marks needed to complete Tinkerer quests. The bosses themselves did not drop the marks, but the marks dropped by Jack Frost were determined by which parts were used to assemble it.
Like with Season 3: Infestation, players could purchase a Mad Pass to increase the quantity and quality of RIFTS quest rewards that were carried over to Original mode.

Seasonal Rifts Changes
Following changes have been made to drop rates and items:
- Drop rates of mana and life from Trench and Tomb respectively have been increased
- Drop rates of tiered items from quest monsters, dungeon bosses, encounters and mountains gods has been doubled
- Drop rates of UTs from dungeon bosses has been increased
- Drop rates of UTs from encounters has been significantly increased
- Drop rates of Wine Cellar Incantation has been significantly increased
Marks have been replaced with Jack Frost parts, marks now drop from Jack Frost’s parts
- Stat potions have been all turned into Greater potions.
- Eggs now only drop from dungeon bosses and encounters
- Egg rates has been significantly increased for dungeon bosses and encounters
- Only common and uncommon eggs are available as drops
- Pet food has been added to the drop tables of dungeon bosses and encounters
- Pet food has been made common from Oryx the Mad God 2 and Candyland bosses.
- All items but pet food now have 0 feed power
