The Original game mode (also known as Legacy) is the standard way to play Realm of the Mad God on the production servers. Unless otherwise indicated, articles on this wiki refer to content from this mode. Starting the game will direct you to Original Mode.
Original mode has existed in its current form since February 14, 2010, when accounts began to be saved server-side.
The term, “original mode”, was used to distinguish the main game from the (now-defunct) RIFTS game mode.
