Gigacorn (Rev. 29)

Last updated: Release 27.2.1
Gigacorn

Gigacorn is a boss that players can fight in the Candyland Hunting Grounds. It spawns after a certain number of Unicorns have been killed.

The Realm Eye says:
Fables tell of Gigacorns once being used as the steed of choice for military generals, but were hunted to near extinction by rival barbarians.
The survivors of the species were sent to gradually repopulate in the Candyland, a place seldom touched by hunters at the time.
The imposing might of Gigacorns serves to remind predators of their illustrious history as powerful war horses.

Behavior

The Gigacorn alternates between rapid spreads of rainbow shots and streams of Unicorn Horns, all aimed at the nearest player. All of these shots pierce armor and can put a dent into even heavy classes.

Every now and then it will charge at the nearest player while firing shots. Then it will have to recharge before charging again.

Tips and Strategies

  • One of the more deadly bosses in this dungeon. Rapid, armor-piercing attacks make defense useless for this fight and make melee fighting it much more difficult.
  • Melee classes: The Unicorn has 2 stages: its shooting stage and wandering stage (the “wandering” stage is a very short pause). When it is shooting, take cover (or if you’re a knight, try to get a stun in) behind a pillar. As soon as it reaches its wandering stage, go in and shoot as much as possible and as soon as it rushes towards you, dodge the bullets and run behind a pillar. Repeat this process until it dies.

  • Long range classes: Stay far away while still hitting it. If it rushes at you, back up and continue to shoot at it. If there is a melee class in front, stay behind it but not too close. Because of its piercing shots, it can do a lot of damage.
