Notes
While this robe suffers from a small DEF and MP reduction when compared to other top-tier robes, it’s the massive +20 WIS bonus that makes this robe shine.
It works best with abilities that scale heavily with WIS. Examples include:
Classics like Wizard, Bard, and Summoner do not benefit nearly as much from this robe, as their abilities do not have a WIS modifier. Mystic (curse duration) and Necromancer (skull damage, heal radius) receive relatively little benefit from WIS, and may also prefer another robe as a result.
If your only concern is the number of ability uses, then the Robe of the Mad Scientist will be a better option, so long as you have a Pet with decent MP Heal. In addition, the Mad Lab Robe is tradable and comes from an easier dungeon. The benefit of the Ritual Robe is that it takes advantage of certain abilities’ WIS scaling.
