Notes
This skull, at first glance, appears to be weaker than most skulls, having lesser damage, heal, and radius. However, its main strength lies in the Curse debuff it inflicts, increasing the DPS of the group and providing more options for Necromancer’s utility.
The listed damage and heal in the tooltip are slightly misleading. Due to the Curse effect being applied first before the damage and heal, this skull will deal roughly 25% more damage to enemies not immune to Curse, and will also heal 25% more, resulting in a +100 heal.
This skull also has the largest heal range increase per 10 WIS, despite having a smaller base heal range compared to other skulls. This synergizes well with the Ritual Robe and the Bloodshed Ring from the same set, as they both provide 26 WIS, resulting in a range boost of 1.6 tiles from those equipment alone. A Necromancer with the previously listed equipment will have over 100 WIS, granting a huge heal range of 8.2 tiles.
History
Prior to Exalt Version 3.3.5.0 (Mar 2023), this item dealt 100 damage with 9 damage scaling, 2.25 damage radius, 4.2 heal radius, and 8% XP bonus.
Trivia
The stat bonuses on this skull are a reference to 666, or the mark of the beast.
