This armor currently gives the largest defense boost out of any other leather armor, in exchange for a slight amount of mobility and DPS. Because most leather armor classes have extremely high base dex and speed stats, spare the Archer and Huntress, this penalty is negligible. Keep in mind, however, that Hydra Skin armor gives +5 dex, so using this armor is essentailly a -7 dex & -2 speed penalty in exchange for a +4 defense boost. Because of this, only use this armor if you’re not very concerned with DPS. This is currently the only leather armor with a fame bonus of 6%.
