The Grotto Blob is an enemy that is found in the Lost Halls. It is the leader of the Grotto Beasts group.

The Grotto Blob is found in the center of its spawn room, surrounded by a squad of assorted Grotto Beasts. It will remain stationary, firing a three-way, clockwise-rotating laser of green shots that deal heavy damage. It will periodically spawn in small groups of Grotto Bats and Rats.
Every time it loses 1/3 of it’s HP, it will flash red, become invulnerable for a few seconds, and spawn in a group of Grotto Blobs. At 1/3 HP, it will also start slowly circling in place.

The Grotto Blob deals incredible damage and must be avoided at all costs. Circling it is a viable option, but it is risky due to the danger of running into its shots or the shots of its minions. Another alternative is to stay back and hit it from a distance, since it won’t give chase.
