Spawns instead of a random group of enemies at a very low rate. Upon seeing a player, it will immediately fire a nonstop, omnidirectional flurry of multicolored shots while chasing them down. After his first attack it will despawn after 56 seconds.
Every 15 seconds after its first attack, it will vanish before slowly materializing next to the nearest player in the dungeon. It cannot attack while vanishing or reappearing, but its teleportation makes trapping it difficult, with the animation lasting 2 seconds before it can attack again. On Spectral Sentry’s final teleport, it will remain for an additional 5 seconds before despawning.
Cannot be killed by ordinary means; after 56 seconds of activity, it’ll die, granting a suitable amount of XP (5 fame) to all players near its death location.
Spawns in the dungeon at a very low rate instead of a group of enemies. More than one Spectral Sentry can spawn in the dungeon.
None.
Note: The Spectral Sentry is often referred to as “Spooky Boi”, “S”, or simply “Spooky” as slang in the community.
You can trap Spectral Sentry using trickster decoys. Throw them near the Spectral Sentry and wait for it to teleport to them; after three teleports, it will despawn. It’s highly recommended to trickster decoy in the corner of the room to ensure Spectral Sentry remains decoyed.
Spectral Sentry orbits around a player and does not directly charge at your exact position.
If you do not have a trickster, you can trap Spectral Sentry on the edge of a wall by hugging a corner of a hallway. When Spectral Sentry teleports after 15 seconds, walk over where it was last at and it will teleport to where you were, causing it to be trapped again.
It’s common practice to call out Spectral Sentry’s teleports that occur every 15 seconds by typing “1”, “2”, or “3”, with “3” indicating its final jump before dying. This informs the group of when it’s dying, and in some cases, to return to it on its third teleport to claim the fame from its death.
If you are near Spectral Sentry, be wary of using equipments or consumables that provides Invisible effect as it will teleport to the nearest player in the dungeon if no players are in its vicinity.
If Spectral Sentry’s hitbox collides inside a wall, it will automatically despawn. This is useful to instantly kill Spectral Sentry during the closing animation for the Marble Colossus boss room.
