Notes:
Part of the Swarming Huntress Set.
This trap doesn’t explode on proximity like other traps, but constantly lets out “pulses” that slow and damage enemies that stand inside the radius of the trap. This trap has a very large radius, allowing effective control over large groups of enemies. The trap is best used as a swap-out in situations where your main concern is slowing large groups of enemies that wont leave the vicinity of the traps pulses too quickly.
It explodes upon impact & triggers a pulse every second for 6 seconds, meaning this trap deals 875 damage in total. The Cave Dweller Trap and the Trap of the Vile Spirit both have more DPS because they can be spammed due to having 0.5 second cooldowns only. Additionally, enemy DEF is calculated for each pulse, meaning that this trap suffers from a great damage reduction against enemies with high defense, such as the Stone Guardians. Think of this trap as being useful for massive AOE slowing, instead of DPS.
Do keep in mind the Honeytomb Snare has a very long cooldown of 6 seconds and will prevent you from using any other traps after usage, meaning it is not very useful in most situations and should mainly be used to get the Swarming Huntress Set bonuses.
