The trap inflicts Curse while dealing significant damage (1625 damage to cursed targets), making it one of the strongest DPS traps. Keep in mind the small radius, which can make this trap weaker against larger or spread out groups of enemies.

Compared to the Cave Dweller Trap, this trap deals less damage, but curses, ignores defense, and can hit multiple targets. Vile Spirit also has the advantage of high burst damage, whereas the Cave Dweller Trap deals damage over 5 seconds. If a boss goes invulnerable or moves out of range, then the Cave Dweller Trap becomes less practical.

This trap curses for a very short duration, which makes sustaining the curse impractical if you cannot spam the ability. You may want to stack several traps to get the most out of the curse duration.

Before Exalt Version (May 2021), this item had stat bonuses of +20 MP, +3 ATT, +3 SPD, dealt 650 damage, didn’t armor pierce, and a throw time of 0.75 seconds.

Before Exalt Version (Mar 2023), this item dealt 800 damage, didn’t inflict curse, and the trap duration was 10 seconds.

Before Exalt Version (Apr 2023), this item had stat bonuses of +4 ATT and +4 SPD.
