Behavior

Spawns instead of a random group of enemies at a very low rate. Upon seeing a player, it will immediately fire a nonstop, omnidirectional flurry of multicolored shots while chasing them down. After his first attack he will despawn after 45 seconds.

Every 15 seconds it will vanish before slowly materializing next to the nearest player. It cannot attack while vanishing or reappearing, but its teleportation makes trapping it impossible.

Cannot be killed by ordinary means; after it teleports five times to a player (or decoy), it’ll die, granting a suitable amount of XP (5 fame) to all players near its death location.

Reproduction

Spawns in the Dungeon at a very low rate instead of a group of enemies.

Tips and Strategies

Note: The Spectral Sentry is often referred to as “Spooky Boi” or simply “Spooky” as slang in the community.

To kill it, use trickster decoys. Throw them near Spooky Boi and wait for it to teleport to them; after five teleports, it should die.

Sitting on it will result in an instantaneous death from the flurry of armor-piercing shots.

If lacking tricksters, another option is to kill Spooky Boi by letting him teleport to random players. With enough health, players can tank about 1/2 of the armor-piercing shotgun. WARNING: The latter strategy is perilous and not recommended unless you have a group of players with the required gear and skill.
