Genesis Spell (Rev. 12)

Genesis Spell Dammah’s powers of summoning portals stem from this profane spell. Most may use it to call attacks from primitive dimensions of untapped energy, but Oryx’s greatest thaumaturges can create stable gateways to the realm and beyond.

Notes
This spell is similar to the Sporous Spray Spell in the sense that it summons stationary entities in order to do damage, in this case four portals. Each portal will zap the nearest enemy for heavy damage. The inability to choose which enemy portals attack can sometimes be detrimental. However, portals will always have 100% accuracy, even when conventional spellbombs are difficult or outright impossible to perfectly hit.

The total damage the Genesis Spell can do is absolutely staggering - each cast results in a whopping 10,000 damage, double that of the Tablet without the need for manual aiming. However, its 4 second cooldown makes it not completely overpowered (though allowing for a 100% uptime). And it suffers from the same setbacks as other “sentry” type items: weakened performance against enemies with fast movement or frequent invincibility. It is also disliked when fighting Oryx 3 due to his fast movement, invicibility, and the spell damaging through his Guard phases.

Nevertheless, it remains a very strong option for further boosting Wizard’s high DPS. If used properly, it can tear apart monsters, decimate low-to-mid level bosses on its own, and deal severe damage to even endgame foes.

The portals have the same sprite as the item itself.
