These Horrid Reapers are the ancient souls that have survived long enough to serve in ripping the souls from adventurers.

Horrid Reapers are spawned by the Grand Sphinx, always in a group of 5. They alternate between several attack patterns and use these in unison.
The Horrid Reapers will fly around very quickly and randomly around the Grand Sphinx, eventually settling on a single spot. Once they stop flying, they will fire 6-directional bursts of Black Missiles.
If players approach them after they have been in Phase 1 for a few seconds, they will begin to chase them while firing aimed Fire Missiles at them.
After being in Phase 2 long enough, they will begin to fire Black Missiles at players at an increased rate while still chasing them. After a bit, they revert back to Phase 1.
If they are not approached at all, they will continue to fire radial attacks until they move again.
They are invulnerable and will disappear when the Grand Sphinx has 15% HP left, signalled by a taunting alternation of A and O.

Horrid Reapers are invulnerable throughout the fight with the Grand Sphinx, so it is a waste of time to attack them.
During the fight, Horrid Reapers will sometimes shift around quickly and unpredictably, finally landing on a random spot, shooting a small shotgun. This shotgun can inflict massive damage upon unaware players.
