Compared to its successor-turned-predecessor, the Tablet of the King’s Avatar, the Penetrating Blast Spell shakes things up a little. It deals far less damage than most spells - comparable to a T3 Scorching Blast - but has the ability to pierce its targets. However, unlike the old Tablet, it also benefits from an extremely low MP cost that allows it to be spammed. This makes it a highly effective tool that can be spammed for crowd clearing, an ability that Wizard doesn’t normally possess. However, due to its low damage, it is advised to switch to a different spell for boss battles where damage matters.

Another thing to note is that the spell provides good stat bonuses - providing 2 ATT like the Recurring Terror Spell and uniquely providing the same HP bonus as a Burning Retribution Spell. Thus, it may be advisable to use it as a primary spell to bolster Wizard’s offense and survivability during situations where an actual spell isn’t needed as much.

History
This spell was spawned by exploiters a few years ago, and was removed from the users’ inventories. However, the spell has since been reintroduced in the form of an untiered item dropping from the Secluded Thicket dungeon. Hence the odd description of the item saying, “This spell’s destructive power is so notorious that casting it was banned for many generations.”
