Notes
This katana outshines nearly all others at first glance. Its damage per shot is only surpassed by the Void Blade and the Blade of Ages, it has the extended range of the Doku no Ken, and surprisingly does not have a RoF penalty. However, its shot pattern requires you to get close to enemies to hit all of your shots, and it does not pierce, making it next to useless for large crowds of enemies that Katana classes normally excel at cutting down. Because of this, players should take care to keep a piercing swapout in case they need crowd control. However, against single enemies, this weapon is almost unrivaled.

History
This katana has a very interesting history. The first item named Celestial Blade was accidentally released in Release 11 (Feb 2013) when an unfinished version of the Lair of Draconis was made available by mistake. It was a drop from the original black dragon named Thanatos. A Hotfix was done the following day to remove the accidentally released items, and all Celestial Blades were transformed into the Useless Katana, which still exists to this day.

When the Lair of Draconis was officially released in Release 22.0.0 (June 2014), a new version of the weapon, now called Annoying Firecracker Katana, dropped from the new version of the black dragon named Feargus. The Firecracker Katana was considered a heavy nerf from the first Celestial Blade because of its short effective range, shorter true range, and the fact that it only barely outdamaged the Doku No Ken until about 5 defense.

In Patch 27.7.X10.3 (Feb 2017), the Annoying Firecracker Katana was reworked into the Sullen Blade, which had a much higher damage output and a longer effective range, making it much more viable, if not more practical.

The Celestial Blade returned in Patch X.31.8.0 (Jul 2019) when the Lair of Draconis dungeon was reworked. The revived version of Celestial Blade was almost identical to its former stats, though its amplitude was lowered from 1.0 to 0.65, meaning the shots spread out less as they travel, thus giving the weapon a higher true range. was released. All existing Sullen Blades were replaced with Celestial Blades in this update.

Before Patch X.33.1.0 (May 2020), this item had a Feed Power of 450.
