Notes
The Keychain Cutlass has the same average damage as the Sword of Acclaim, but has a massive damage variation that may help against higher defense enemies, but will force you to rely on more inconsistent damage output. The minimum damage is less than half of a Short Sword, while the maximum damage is higher than all swords except for the Indomptable. In general, it is an upgrade from the Sword of Acclaim thanks to the bonus 50 MP, 5 VIT, and 3 DEF, as well as the 3% extra XP Bonus.

The Keychain Cutlass is a great option for the Knight, thanks to the bonus 50 MP which lets them potentially fire their abilities more. When combined with the Resurrected Warrior’s Armor, this allows Knights to reach a staggering 452 MP, with the ring slot available for a more general use ring rather than the Ring of Unbound Magic. The extra VIT and DEF further bolsters Knight’s survivability as well. This sword is somewhat less useful for Warriors and Paladins, because the MP bonus is largely wasted due to their abilites requiring less mana and lasting far longer, making the primary deciding factor being whether you want the extra DEF/VIT or not.

If you want to live for longer, the Keychain Cutlass is currently the only sword to offer any bonus to DEF, and no swords offer a HP bonus. That being said, a longer range sword may be a better choice for those who wish to play extremely carefully.
