Notes
The Scepter of Devastation is an incredibly powerful scepter intended to maximize single-target damage at the cost of hitting fewer targets. Uniquely, its shockblast scales with Attack instead of Wisdom like tiered scepters. Although its lightning base damage is equal to T3, its fast scaling and incredibly high shockblast damage make this scepter stand out as the highest single-target damaging scepter for sorcerers maxxed in both Attack and Wisdom.

Its potent scaling encourage players to further buff their Attack with equipment such as the Vesture of Duality, Diplomatic Robe, and the Fractured Hannya. Consumables such as an Effusion of Attack or Tincture of Courage can raise the scepter’s damage to devastating heights.

However, the scepter is not without its weaknesses. Wearing equipment that prioritizes Attack and Wisdom often means sacrificing Defense and HP, both of which Sorcerer has very little of to begin with. Its thinner targeting cone makes it more difficult to aim than tiered scepters, and its low number of base targets means this scepter is outcompeted for clearing groups of enemies. This scepter shines best when paired with items that scale it and against dungeon bosses.

History
When this item was first added into the game, it was not soulbound due to an error that was made by DECA. This resulted in the item being sold for enormous amounts until this was patched a day later.

Before Exalt Version 3.0.0.0 (Aug 2022), this and all other scepters lacked Shockblast damage. Its base damage used to be 820 and hit an additional target for every 20 WIS over 50.
