Notes
The Tablet is similar to the Recurring Terror Spell in that its shots reconverge on its point of origin. But in this case, the shots travel a single tile out before returning. This makes it extremely easy to land the ‘perfect spellbomb’ on most enemies. In terms of damage per mana, the Tablet has the third highest of all spells at 33.75 damage per MP, beaten only by the Sporous Spray Spell and the Genesis Spell. Both of those spells deal damage over time (the former stationary, the latter has a cooldown), and therefore do not have the single-target burst potential of traditional spells like the Tablet. However, its unforgiving MP cost and small area of effect make precise aiming of this spell extremely important. Be extremely careful when using this, as it’s a very rare drop from the once-per-realm event The Avatar of the Forgotten King.
History
The Tablet of the King’s Avatar was originally based off of the Penetrating Blast Spell and had piercing shots, but was reworked when the Secluded Thicket dungeon was released in Patch X.30.0.0 (Oct 2018) (which is home to the aforementioned UT Spell).
Before Exalt Version 2.0.2.0 (Aug 2021), this item had the following sprite:
