Notes
The Keychain Cutlass has the same average damage as the Sword of Acclaim, but has a massive damage variation. It might help against higher defense enemies, but weak enemies will sometimes take more shots to kill. Against bosses, it’s generally an upgrade from the Acclaim thanks to the bonus 50 MP, 5 VIT, and 3 DEF, as well as its +3% XP bonus.

The Keychain Cutlass is a great option for the Knight, who is most reliant on their abilities. When combined with the Resurrected Warrior’s Armor, melees can reach a staggering 452 MP, opening the ring slot for a more general use ring rather than the Ring of Unbound Magic.
One prolific use is in combination with the Crystal Shield. The immensely mana-draining nature of the Crystal Shield makes having additional MP incredibly useful; translating to 0.7 seconds more of invulnerability.

Warriors and Paladins are less likely to need this sword; their abilities tend to last longer and are sustainable with a decent Magic Heal pet. For those who want more sustainability, the Keychain Cutlass is currently the only sword to offer any bonus to DEF, and no swords offer a HP bonus. That being said, a longer range sword may be a better choice for those who wish to play very carefully.

Trivia
The weapon’s description likely references the Keyblade from the game series Kingdom Hearts.
