Notes
The Keychain Cutlass has the same average damage as the Sword of Acclaim, but has a massive damage variation. This makes killing low HP minions unreliable, but marginally helps against high DEF enemies. Against bosses, it’s generally an upgrade from the Acclaim thanks to the bonus 50 MP, 5 VIT, and 3 DEF, as well as its +3% XP bonus.

The Keychain Cutlass is a great option for the Knight, who is most reliant on their abilities. Melees reach a staggering 452 MP when combined with the Resurrected Warrior’s Armor, opening the ring slot for a more general use ring rather than the Ring of Unbound Magic. The Crystal Shield benefits a lot; its immensely mana-draining nature makes having additional MP incredibly useful, translating to 1.25 more seconds of use.

The abilities of the Warriors and Paladins last much longer; with a decent Magic Heal pet, you can sustain buffs for a long amount of time. This weapon is the only sword to provide DEF (and none give HP), though a longer range sword may be a better choice for those who wish to play very carefully.

History
Before Exalt Version 2.0.0.0 (Aug 2021), this item was soulbound.

Trivia
The weapon’s description likely references the Keyblade from the game series Kingdom Hearts.
