Tome of Purification

Notes
The Tome of Purification is a fairly solid tome for any Priest. The +10 VIT and +10 WIS provide you with a mix of stronger HP and MP regeneration. The WIS boost means that, as long as the priest has at least 50 wisdom, this tome beats out all other tomes in terms of range, and is better than the Tome of Holy Guidance in terms of instant heal.

It also beats almost all tomes in instant heal / mana; the exceptions are lower tiered tomes with Ritual Robe and Ring of Unbound Wisdom. This makes the Tome of Purification a top tier choice is groups where there are others with items that apply Healing.

Along with the heal, Purification removes all negative effects on yourself. This has many useful applications, from curing yourself from a boss’ paralysis or confusion, to taking advantage of the speedy found in the Mad Lab’s green pools. Arguably, the most exploitable dungeon for this tome would be The Nest; the Killer Bee Queen can inflict all of Confused, Paralyzed, Dazed, Armor Broken, and Weak, and other bees can inflict the same statuses.

The tome obviously doesn’t work against Silence or Quiet. This tome can heal Sick, but the healing is applied first, meaning that you won’t actually heal. Finally, Pet Stasis will not be removed; it’ll only remove the Pet Stasis icon while your pet remains a stationary chicken.

It’s worth noting that Puri can’t purify groups, as this has been removed. If you want to help teammates with debuffs, the Skull of Endless Torment is recommended, though requires hitting 4 targets at once.

WisMod
For every 10 Wisdom over 50, an additional 30 points of HP is added to base heal (140), eg; 60 WIS = 170 HP, 70 WIS = 200 etc. Note no additional HP is added in between multiples of 10, eg; 75 WIS = 200 HP.

For every 1 Wisdom over 50, an additional 0.1 tiles of range is added to the base range (6), eg; 60 WIS = 7 tiles, 75 WIS = 8.5 tiles.
