Notes
This is the first and only spell to have a parametric shot pattern. When fired, the shots revolve erratically around the point of casting for a few seconds, dealing damage to the first enemies they touch.

The Recurring Terror Spell has a damage per shot superior to any of the tiered spells. Even the lowest possible damage (200) is greater than the maximum damage (165) of the T6 spell. However, this spell has 12 fewer shots than the T6 spell, making the total average damage inferior to that of the T6. However, the higher damage per shot means this spell beats the T6 in total damage at around 38 DEF. It also has a slightly lower mana cost, improving its mana efficiency.

The Recurring Terror’s shots have a short range where they linger after the spell is used due to its parametric shot pattern. This gives it higher accuracy than tiered spells and also makes it very useful on enemies or dungeon bosses that move in predictable patterns, such as the Son of Arachna or Archdemon Malphas. By spamming the spell in the path of the boss, you can lure them into “minefields” of shots to incur large amounts of damage.

It is important to note that the spell also provides a massive bonus to offensive stats of 4 DEX and 2 ATT, which means that while the spell inflicts less burst damage than, for instance, the Jade Storm, but it will deal much higher DPS over time due to having better mana efficiency than most other spells and a heavy bonus to your standard attacks.

However, do note that this spell has essentially been outclassed by the reworked Penetrating Blast Spell. That spell has higher spell damage, a lower MP cost, an even more consistent shot pattern, and the ability to pierce through enemies. It also provides much better survivability bonuses with +40 HP compared to -20 HP and +2 DEF. Its only shortcomings compared to this spell are the lack of the +4 DEX bonus (though its spell damage and consistency more than makes up for it) and that it is significantly more difficult to acquire. If one does not have access to that spell, this spell is a good alternative and still superior to any tiered spell.
