Notes
This is the first and only spell to have a parametric shot pattern. When fired, the shots revolve erratically around the point of casting for a few seconds, dealing damage to the first enemy that they touch. Their lingering and ultimately converging nature gives it higher accuracy, especially against stationary bosses or ones with predictable patterns (like Son of Arachna or Archdemon Malphas). By spamming the spell in the path of the boss, you can lure them into “minefields” of shots to incur large amounts of damage.

The Recurring Terror’s minimum damage (200) is greater than the maximum damage (165) of the T6 spell, though it fires fewer shots. Fewer shots make this spell better against DEF; outdamaging the T6 spell at around 38 DEF. In addition, this spell’s slightly lower MP cost, accuracy, and pretty good offensive boost - +4 DEX and +2 ATT - give it the edge against all tiered spells. Even against otherwise superior UT spells, the offensive stats let the Para spell eventually overcome most others in longterm DPS.

The reworked Penetrating Blast Spell can be seen as a direct upgrade to this spell, with a lower MP cost, higher damage, piercing, and lingering shots in a more consistent pattern. However, it is typically more difficult to acquire (dropping from a somewhat more difficult dungeon and costing legendary Forge material to craft), and gives slightly worse offensive stats (in exchange for significantly better survivability stats with a net +60 HP and +5 VIT).
