The Twilight Gemstone (Rev. 62)

The Twilight Gemstone A peculiar stone, tremendously heavy for its size and seemingly not of this world. Its very presence in the realm raises a great deal more questions than answers, yet the uncanny energy it emanates provides only one haunting clue.

Notes
The Twilight Gemstone is a ring focused on increasing the utility of classes with the +110 MP, +5 WIS, and the reactive proc reducing the MP cost of abilities by 30%, as well as providing a decent +8 DEF and +5 SPD to increase survivability and mobility. Despite this, Gemstone does not provide any increase to HP, so it is highly recommended to use equipment that provides HP, or use other utility rings that provide HP, such as the Sourcestone or the Omnipotence Ring.

Before the rework, this used to be practically outclassed by Sourcestone, as it gave +110 HP instead of the +6 DEF the Gemstone used to give; most players prefer an HP increase over a DEF increase. However, after the rework, the Gemstone is a viable contender as the best utility ring in the game with the reactive proc.

Some endgame players consider this to be the best damage-increasing ring for classes with powerful damage abilities such as Oryx’s Escutcheon on Knight or the Tablet of the King’s Avatar on Wizard. Specifically, this is only true if one’s pet possesses high MP heal. For these two abilities, given a strong pet, the Gemstone increases one’s total DPS even more than the most powerful DPS rings after 3 casts of Escutcheon or 5 casts of Tablet, with lost damage from the lack of DPS stats being made up by the ability’s 4th or 6th cast, respectively. Each cast thereafter actually results in higher DPS.

The reactive proc will not reduce the MP cost of holding abilities down.
