|An odd stone, emanating a dark and mysterious energy.|
|On Equip||+110 MP, +6 DEF, +6 SPD|
Although it is similar to the Ring of the Sphinx from the Tomb Of The Ancients Dungeon, it gives a MP stat bonus that is slightly greater than the Sphinx. The added bonus of defense and speed compared to the wisdom and dexterity that the Sphinx provides can be very helpful for “squishier” classes. However, after Lost Halls was released, many players now prefer Sourcestone for extra survivability and tankiness, as you get +110 HP instead of +6 def from Gemstone.
This ring is perfect for any class that benefits from having high MP with added defense and speed. These characters can include Priest, Knight, Assassin, Ninja, Necromancer, and Sorcerer. Although it can be used on any class of your liking. (A quick breakdown on the benefits to the classes mentioned below).
Priest - Allows for an extra heal; When paired with Tome of Holy Protection it can give you another 9 defense and another available cast which can be handy in tight situations.
Assassin - Because of the added defense, the Assassin becomes a little less “squishy” as well as improving speed and allowing for another poison to be thrown. With a Leaf Dragon Hide Armor you can achieve 87 speed, allowing for amazing mobility for this hit and run class.
Ninja - Gives an extra speed bonus which greatly benefits the ninja when its ability is active. The additional MP allows for either an extra shuriken throw or for a longer duration of ability use. Finally, the added defense helps in providing greater survivability to the overall spongey class, the ninja.
Necromancer - The extra MP allows for an extra skull use which could possibly be the deciding factor between life and death. The additional speed and the defense add to the overall survivability of the class. The skull buff from around MotMG 2017 means that the lack of HP is not too worrisome; the T6 skull gives 90 HP on its own.
Sorcerer - As the sorcerer has low dps and armor, relying greatly on its scepter to dish out damage, the Twilight Gemstone offers additional ability uses as well as providing the defense and speed to keep it safe from danger.
Before Patch X.33.1.0 (May 2020), this item had a Feed Power of 500.
