Behavior

Phase 1: Crystals

• After killing the 2 Royal L Guardians, you will watch the Forgotten King’s Crown moving towards the end of the room, spawning the Boss. He will then spawn 4 Crystals, each one having different behaviour.

Phase 2: Royal Guardians

• When you destroy the 4 Crystals, the Forgotten King will then start shooting while flashing purple. Do not shoot the boss or the rest of the fight will be different from the one stated here.
• Then he will move to the middle of the room spawning Royal J Guardians (See behaviour for Royal Guardian J)

Phase 3: Tentacles of Wrath

• After you defeat the Guardians, and if enough damage is dealt, The Forgotten King will then fire 6 long beams of fireballs, dealing high damage. (Otherwise you will have to go through phase 2 again) The Boss will also start to spawn Helpless Souls (See behaviour for Helpless Souls)
• The boss will then stop shooting and become vulnerable, while he moves toward the top of the room.
• Note: If he takes enough damage he will move straight to phase 5.

Phase 4:

• If the players dont deal sufficient damage after phase 3 the boss will fire a giant swarm of very-hard-to-dodge bullets and will periodically become vulnerable until he advances to the following phase.

Phase 5: The final one

• The king will shout: “YOU TEST THE PATIENCE OF A GOD!” followed by “DIE! DIE!! DIE!!!” and start shooting in a similar pattern from Phase 4 along with the Phase 3 tentacles. After that the Boss will say “Ha…. Ha…..” and become vulnerable. If the group deals enough damage, the Forgotten King will die. Otherwise he will start flashing and shooting again.
• After this, a Test Chest will be spawned over the red carpet tile. Dropping all the sought after loot.

Tips and Strategies

• When destroying the Crystals once they spawn, destroying the yellow crystal should take priority, as it will paralyze players - extremely dangerous during this fight.
• It is very important to not buff the boss after the Crystal phase, else the boss will become much harder and deadlier.
• After the Tentacles phase DO NOT SLOW the Boss or he will get “stuck” while going backwards and his shots will be almost impossible to dodge.
• When the Forgotten Kings shouts: “YOU TEST THE PATIENCE OF A GOD” get as far away from the boss as you can, since you wont see his shots, which are kind of hard to dodge.
• The Helpless Souls coming from the sides will not be a heavy threat, and should generally be ignored, granted you dodge well or have a Priest with a Purification Tome.
• During several phases of this fight, when the Forgotten King fires out large streams of various shots, you can stand at the bottom side of the room and you will not see the attacks. You should begin to run at the boss when the Helpless Soul at the bottom of the room is spawned.
