This poison, amusingly, is an item with Vit Mod. It pairs well with items with high vitality, such from the Lost Golem Set or the Vest of Abandoned Shadows.

If you have high VIT, the Stein is actually a pretty good poison. With the 2/4 Lost Golem Set (Golem Garments + Rusty Cuffs), this poison deals more damage than the T7 poison, has a larger radius, and is thrown 0.3s faster, even before the VIT↑ VIT boost (+10 VIT). This gives it a niche for clearing groups of minions.

However, since you are wearing high VIT gear, you are not wearing gear that improves weapon DPS or HP. In addition, this poison is virtually always outdamaged by the Murky Toxin against single-targets (even when wearing high VIT gear).

Otherwise, it is mostly a vanity item, and can be kept in your vault or forged to make more generally useful items.

Before Patch X.33.1.0 (May 2020), this item had a Feed Power of 450.

Before Exalt Version (Aug 2021), this item was soulbound.

In Exalt Version (Aug 2022), this item was given VitMod formulas, along with a damage boost feature.

Before ???, this item gave Wine Bottle Drunk for 1.5 seconds, DEF↑ DEF boost (+5 DEF) on use and had a radius of 8 tiles.

Before Exalt Version (Sep 2023), this item granted +2 DEF, +2 ATT on equip and had the following sprite:
Mighty Stein (old)

Along with the Greaterhosen, this poison was arguably one of the rarest items in the game, due to the highly time-limited nature of the 2019 Oktoberfest event which also occured during a Heroic Dungeon event. As of patch X.32.7.0 however, this poison has become attainable once more with the return of the Beer God as a permanent enemy. More recently, Exalt Version made it easily creatable with the UT item forge.
