Notes
The Shield of Ogmur is a cosmically rare untiered drop that serves as an alternative to the tiered shields for the Knight. Instead of inflicting Stunned, it inflicts Armor Broken on any monsters it hits, setting their Defense stat to zero for 4 seconds. making it great for weakening bosses with high DEF such as the Avatar of the Forgotten King. Its damage is also very respectable, being in between a T6 and T7 shield.
This is a situational UT and should be used as a swapout, not a primary shield. For example, the armor break is rendered useless on monsters with very low defense or when you are not comfortable getting close to monsters that are very dangerous like Oryx the Mad God 2. In other situations, keeping an enemy permanently stunned is more useful than armor breaking them.
However, if you are in a group with other knights who are using tiered shields, it is likely the boss or monster will be stunned and you are safe to break its armor and massively increase the group’s DPS. It is also extremely useful against enemies that are either immune to Stun or don’t benefit much from getting stunned, such as the endgame bosses in exaltation dungeons. Since most of these bosses also have relatively high DEF, bringing an Ogmur can significantly speed up the fight.
It should also be noted that this shield provides supreme defensive stats, giving the player the most HP and tied for second most DEF of all shields.
