Because of its lack of piercing, it’s best kept as a swapout against a single target alongside a tiered wand for mobs and crowds.

This wand has the third-highest base damage of any wand in the game (only beaten by the Wand of the Bulwark and the Abomination’s Wrath), but a lesser fire rate. It outclasses the Conducting Wand regardless of enemy defense in terms of DPS. However, it has a glaring range reduction, putting the Priest and Sorcerer at a much higher risk than if they were using a tiered wand. A Priest with the Tome of Holy Protection can mitigate much of the risk of using this wand.

The lack of piercing finds its use in the Tomb of the Ancients as a way to avoid activating all three bosses at once by accident, even though the lesser range might make it a less attractive option than the Conducting Wand given the bullet spam which comes from each individual boss.

This weapon has higher DPS than all other wands until being beaten by the Wand of the Bulwark at 29/37, the Abomination’s Wrath at 58/74 DEF and the Crystal Wand at 77/98 DEF.
