Notes
The Tome of Holy Protection (or “Prot”) grants Armored to yourself, which boosts effective defense by 50%. In addition, it gives a decent boost to stats when equipped. A maxed Priest will often have defenses in the 60+ range, which is comparable to a heavy armor class. (Note that Armored does not increase the In Combat threshold.)
It can be useful for surviving all sorts of difficult dungeons. It can also be useful for rushing dungeons like the Abyss of Demons.
It is recommended to have a swapout tome. Due to this tome’s high MP cost and lack of Healing status, it will be worse than tiered tomes for the purposes of HP gain.

Before Exalt Version 1.0.0.0 (July 2020), this item had the following sprite:
Before Exalt Version 1.1.0.0 (Sep 2020), this tome had an MP cost of 120 and a heal of 200 HP. This item also received new WisMod formulas. In addition, this version nerfed Armored from 2x defense to 1.5x defense.
Before Exalt Version 1.5.0.0 (May 2021), this item gave +4 VIT instead of +4 DEF.
Before Exalt Version 2.3.2.0 (June 2022), this item was soulbound.
Before Exalt Version 3.3.5.0 (Mar 2023), this item had an MP cost of 150.
WisMod
For every 10 Wisdom over 50, an additional 30 points of HP is added to base heal (140), eg; 60 WIS = 170 HP, 70 WIS = 200 etc. Note no additional HP is added in between multiples of 10, eg; 75 WIS = 200 HP.
For every 1 Wisdom over 50, an additional 0.1 tiles of range is added to the base range (6), eg; 60 WIS = 7 tiles, 75 WIS = 8.5 tiles.
For every 10 Wisdom over 50, an additional 1 second of Armored is added to base time (4), eg; 60 WIS = 5 seconds 70 WIS = 6 seconds etc. Note no additional time is added in between multiples of 10, eg; 75 WIS = 6 seconds.
