Recomp is probably the best all around wand. Although it never has the BEST DPS at any Defense level compared to the Wand of the Fallen, Crystal Wand and to an extent the Conducting Wand it is the strongest Piercing wand.
For example even though a Crystal Wand would do more damage at Oryx or a Cube God, Recomp is a lot easier to get your damage in with because minions can easily block the former’s shots.
Other examples include the Skull Shrine and Lord of the Lost Lands.
