Before Patch 27.7.X10.3, you would seldom find people using this bow. Its wide spread made it less practical relative to the Coral Bow, which almost matches its DPS with the implication that all shots hit. Likewise, most Archers/Huntresses would use the Coral Bow instead if they possessed one. However, after said patch, it got somewhat more usable, seeing as the range where all 3 shots hit was increased from a mere 2.51 to a decent 3.56. Regardless, many still view the Coral Bow, Doom Bow, or the newer Thousand Shot as superior.
As with the T8-T11 bows (and the Coral Bow), it is good to carry a Doom Bow as a swap-out for high defense, distant (with tiered bows true range makes sword range look good), or boss enemies.
