Notes
Part of the Agents of Oryx Abilities.

This Orb is similar to the Orb of Aether, deploying a stationary hazard to cripple enemies. However, rather than impairing enemies’ movement, this orb is all about damage - dealing very heavy AoE damage and Cursing those hit for a decent time. As the cherry on top, it provides high offensive stat boosts on equip, while also giving a large ATT boost for 5 seconds on ability use (though only every 30 seconds).

After being deployed, the beacon will be passive for about 1.5 seconds before quickly releasing its three bursts of damage in succession and vanishing.

Like the Bottled Medusozoan and Sporous Spray Spell, it can inflict severe AoE damage - dealing up to 1,500 damage while also applying curse (note that the curse is applied BEFORE the damage, so it can actually deal up to 1,875 damage to targets that are not curse immune). Unlike them however, the beacon cannot be redeployed until the old one vanishes, so positioning is extra important to use this Orb well. In addition, the 3 blasts aren’t identical, as they sequentially increase in damage/Curse duration but decrease in radius. This means it especially suffers against enemies with fast movement or frequent invulnerability periods, as the beacon may not be able to land all 3 blasts against them, compounded by the fact that it only performs its three bursts of damage at the very end of its duration. Doing maximum damage is reliant on hitting all 3 blasts, so this orb is most effective on enemies that don’t move much.

In addition to the above drawbacks, this orb has a very high MP cost (second only to the Soul of the Bearer, which means even with a high level Magic Heal pet it is impossible to have 100% uptime of the beacon. Mystics must be more careful with their usage of this orb than others.

The Orb of Conquest does not inflict Stasis or any form of crowd-control debuff. While this can be detrimental, it may also be beneficial in situations where Stasis is undesirable and can be easily traded out for high, wide-area DPS.

The beacon is marked on the minimap by a dark red dot and has the following sprite:
