Notes
The Tome of Purification is a fairly solid tome for any Priest. The +10 VIT and +10 WIS provide you with a mix of stronger HP and MP regeneration.

The 10 extra wisdom mean that as long as the priest has more than 50 wisdom the tome beats out all other tomes in terms of range, and almost all other tomes in terms of instant heal per mana spent. The exception to this being lower tiered tomes with Ritual Robe and Ring of Unbound Wisdom. This makes the Tome of Purification a top tier choice is groups where there are others with items that apply Red Cross Healing.

When the tome is used, it restores at most [X] HP (depending on your Wisdom stat and split healing from the number of players healed) and removes all negative effects on yourself (allowing you to save yourself in certain debuff-heavy fights). It is, however, important to note that the purification effect is not affected by wismod.

But it’s rather crucial to note that Pet Stasis will not be removed. It will only remove the Pet Stasis icon while your pet remains a stationary chicken.

This tome is very useful in rushing Mad Labs. Hex yourself by running into the green pools, then rush with the speedy boost. Once you need to use your weapon, purify and wreak havoc. It’s also very popular in Wine Cellars, by removing the deadly Confuse, Slow, and Sick status effects from you. However, be aware that you will not be healed if you are inflicted with Sick, as you are healed first, after which the purification effect will occur.

Arguably the most exploitable dungeon for this tome would be The Nest. This is because the dungeon’s main boss (the Killer Bee Queen) inflicts all of the following status effects: Confused, Paralyzed, Dazed, Quiet, Armor Broken, and Weak. She does also inflict Pet Stasis, but as you have most likely already read, this tome does not get rid of that. The bullets themselves are fired predictably yet rapidly, so it’s a good idea to take this tome along with you to protect you.

This tome (along with other purifying items such as Holy Water and the Skull of Endless Torment) cannot remove certain mass status effects used by the bosses in Oryx’s Sanctuary.

WisMod
For every 10 Wisdom over 50, an additional 30 points of HP is added to base heal (140), eg; 60 WIS = 170 HP, 70 WIS = 200 etc. Note no additional HP is added in between multiples of 10, eg; 75 WIS = 200 HP.

For every 1 Wisdom over 50, an additional 0.1 tiles of range is added to the base range (6), eg; 60 WIS = 7 tiles, 75 WIS = 8.5 tiles.
