Class Advice

Unlike practically all other dungeons, the Ice Cave is not a race to the boss room, but rather, a dungeon where you must clear out the enemies in order to fight the boss. While this dungeon has a rating of five gravestones, it really isn’t that difficult once you get the hang of it. However, as with most things, you should be very alert in this dungeon. Going AFK is one of the quickest ways to die in this dungeon, as massive drags are very common, and it’s not hard to get caught in the middle of one. In this dungeon, Def is actually not the most crucial stat to have maxed, as almost all shots are armor piercing. It helps to be maxed in dex, but overall, a character that has good equipment and a couple pots under his/her belt should do fine in this dungeon.

Knight

Everything can be stunned, so you don’t really need good dexterity. A mana ring will serve you better in this dungeon than an defense ring. Most of the monsters do piercing damage which renders your defense ring useless. Switching to a health ring isn’t a bad idea once the mana is out.

Boss Fight

Make sure your knight doesn’t get quieted by Esben’s blue fire shots. The knight can stun the small pillars that spawn the blue Dorito chips. Don’t get paralyzed when you are quiet or they will nova you to death. In a big group this isn’t hard, but soloing is a different story.

Once all the small pillars are removed, Esben will shape-shift and start running in the center. You can get a couple hits before he starts shooting purple shots nova style. After, weird looking skeletons will spawn and you must kill them. Esben will start running around in the center again. Take this opportunity to kill him because he doesn’t attack in this stage. If you did enough damage, big weird looking skeletons will spawn and move towards the center. The loot chest will spawn during this stage. The loot chest has a chance to drop tops and a mana pot.

Warrior

It’s the same as knight, but in this case without the stun. Use health rings for this dungeon. You can get away with using a t8 sword, but it really helps if you have Archon on up. Dodging is your best defense in this dungeon; which means speed will determine your success in this dungeon.

Boss Fight

Same as knight except no stun. Dodge and buff. Watch out for paralyze from small pillars. Crystal sword works well in this dungeon.

Mystic

In my opinion, mystic does the best in this dungeon. She can stasis little yetis to focus killing the Big Yeti. Having a good staff helps, T10 on up is preferable, but you can get away with a lower tier staff. It will just take longer. Watch out for the big blue bat. It can cause confuse and daze. It can kill robe classes that are maxed in defense if you aren’t careful. Not by itself, but it usually has mobs near it.

Boss Fight

Mystic can clean up the small pillars fast and can make exit holes using stasis. You shouldn’t get surrounded as easily as the rest of the classes.

Archer / Huntress

Shouldn’t be too hard if you dodge. Doom Bow will quickly speed up things in the dungeon.

Boss Fight

Keep a distance and don’t get paralyzed. Excellent class to solo the dungeon.

Note

These characters I’ve listed are my preferred characters to do this dungeon. The rest of the classes I didn’t mention I found nothing particularly special about their ability to do this dungeon. They aren’t terrible but nothing great either.
