Released | Patch X.31.7.0 (May 2019) |
The Phantom Archer Set was the 17th ST set to be released.
Wearing the full set changes the shots from only the bow and not the quiver. The set confers additional stat bonuses when all the items are worn together.
In addition to the stat bonuses this set provides, the bow fire only one arrow at a shorter range and with very slightly decreased frequency than tiered bows and the quiver shoots similarly to a wizard spell centered on you and provides 3 seconds of Speedy, at the cost of only inflicting Slowed and costing 120 MP.
An archer with WC tops and a Ring of the Pyramid would have 820 HP, 272 MP, 79 ATT, 46 DEF, 50 SPD, 61 DEX, 40 VIT, 50 WIS, making for a DPS of 2647-1425 (0-60 DEF). While this set only provides 2336-1979 DPS and at a decreased range, a tiered bow needs to be a full 1.5 tiles closer to benefit from its full DPS, cutting to slightly over a third of this set’s DPS at its full range. The additional 115 HP, 4 DEF and 14 VIT this set brings to the table further offsets the risk caused by the decreased range. The only true downside to this set is that its quiver’s prohibitive cost provides measly damage: an Elvish Mastery has about 4 times its MP/damage ratio, unless you’re willing to sit on the target, all the while not even inflicting Paralyzed but
Slowed instead. It’s use as a rushing tool is, however, very notable, allowing for
Speedy and removing the need to aim. This set is therefore a major upgrade on untiered items, provided you keep another quiver as a swapout.
